We collect the following information when you use QuizCraft Quest:

• Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication data
• Usage Data: Quiz completion records, character progress, earned rewards
• Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store card details)
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information for security and analytics

Quest Creation Content

When you use the SideQueso quest studio to generate quests, you may submit source material. Here is exactly what we do with it:

• URLs: Web page addresses you paste as source content are fetched and sent to Grok AI (xAI) for quest generation. We do not permanently store the raw fetched content beyond the active generation session.
• PDFs and Images: Documents or images you upload as source material are sent to Grok AI (xAI) for content extraction and quest generation. Uploaded files are not retained on our servers after processing is complete.
• AI-Generated Drafts: Quest drafts, characters, storylines, and quiz questions created from your source material are stored in our database only when you explicitly choose to save them to the product ("Write To DB").
• Ownership: You retain ownership of the source content you submit. We do not use your submitted URLs, PDFs, or images to train AI models.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide and improve the QuizCraft Quest experience
• Process purchases and manage your owned content
• Track your progress and save game state
• Send important account and service notifications
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our service

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe: For payment processing
• Supabase: Our secure database provider
• xAI (Grok): For AI-powered quest generation. Source content you submit (URLs, PDFs, images) is processed by xAI's Grok API. xAI's privacy policy applies to that processing: x.ai/privacy
• Sentry: For error monitoring (may include technical data like error details and device/network info to help us fix bugs)

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Supabase
• Row Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
• Regular security audits and updates

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request data deletion
• Export your data
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Close your account at any time

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential browser storage (such as localStorage, and in some cases cookies) for:
